Ship-to-shore pumping

This technique is predominantly used for beach nourishment and to fill up shores and wells. This application enables long-distance sand mixture transportation using so-called pressure lines.

As with rainbowing, the sand mixture is liquefied in the ship's hold using water cannons.

The mixture is subsequently sucked in through three suction pits by the pressure pump, which then pumps it to the bow connection and line with great pressure.
